Plumas Housing council

We’re building attainable housing from the ground up—for renters, buyers, and the future of our communities.

The Council was established in 2024 by The Almanor Foundation to support housing efforts across Plumas County. This collaborative coalition brings together nonprofits, employers, builders, and government agencies to align and advance housing solutions for residents countywide. By bridging sectors, the Council works to ensure that safe, attainable housing is accessible for all who live and work in communities throughout Plumas County.

PHC's Mission

The Plumas Housing Council supports countywide housing efforts by aligning and coordinating programs, projects, and leaders while promoting collaborative solutions that create sustainable, attainable, and community-rooted housing for all.

Event celebrates first Welcome Home Greenville house

The Almanor Foundation reports that a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 24 celebrated the first completed house through Welcome Home Greenville, an innovative community-financed housing project that is part of a larger initiative launched by TAF three years ago.

The 1,280-square-foot three-bedroom home, located at 166 Hot Springs Road, was completely financed by local community members, reports TAF. The house is being sold at the developer’s cost of $285,500, with the proceeds from the sale to be reinvested into building additional low-cost homes.
